Letter of Demand

For debts over $2,000
An important first step to recovering an unpaid debt is to issue a demand letter which sets out your claim, invites the other party to make payment or communicate with you to resolve the matter within a particular timeframe, failing which further legal action may be taken. Our service includes:
  • Phone, email and/or video conference consultations.
  • Review of your documents and record of interactions with the debtor together with a short strategy advice.
  • A letter of demand sent by email and post and up to four telephone contact attempts to obtain payment in full or a repayment proposal for your consideration.
  • Reporting email to you following the earlier of payment, receipt of a proposal or expiry of the demand.
You may choose to further engage us to act on your behalf if payment in full or an arrangement was unable to be achieved or close the matter.
